What is crypto mining?

Crypto mining is the process of verifying and adding transactions of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to a digital ledger called the blockchain. Miners use powerful computers to perform complex calculations needed to confirm these transactions. As a reward for their work miners receive new units of the cryptocurrency.

What is an ASIC miner?

An ASIC miner is a specialized computer designed to perform one specific type of calculation which is crypto mining. ASIC stands for "Application-Specific Integrated Circuit." These miners are much more powerful and efficient than regular computers for mining certain cryptocurrencies.

What do I need to start crypto mining?

To get started with crypto mining you will need the following:

  1. A specialized mining computer, like an ASIC miner.
  2. Access to electricity to power the miner.
  3. A reliable internet connection to stay connected to the network.
  4. A wallet to store your earned cryptocurrencies.
  5. Miners constantly blow warm air into the environment. Depending on the number of miners, you need to properly ventilate the space to manage the heat from your mining equipment.
Which cryptocurrencies can I mine with mining hardware?

The cryptocurrencies you can mine with mining hardware depend on the miner model. Each miner is designed to support a specific algorithm. Always check which algorithm your miner supports to determine which cryptocurrencies you can mine.

What kind of hardware should I choose?

Choosing the right hardware depends on several factors:

  1. Budget: How much are you willing to invest in your mining setup?
  2. Energy Costs: Miners consume a lot of power so it's important to know your local electricity rates.
  3. Earnings: What are your goals? Do you want to maximize profit or are you more interested in supporting the network?
  4. Noise and heat: Miners can produce a lot of noise and heat. Make sure you have a suitable place to set up your equipment.
Is crypto mining still profitable?

Crypto mining can still be profitable but it depends on several factors:

  1. The price of the cryptocurrency you are mining.
  2. Your energy costs and the efficiency of your miner.
  3. The difficulty level of the mining network which determines how much computing power is needed to find a block. It’s important to do proper calculations before starting so you know if it will be profitable for you.

How do I place an order on your website?

To place an order on our website, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the product you want to buy and click "add to cart."
  2. Go to your cart and review your order.
  3. Click "proceed to checkout" and enter your details.
  4. Choose whether you want to pick up your order or have it shipped.
  5. Choose your preferred payment method and complete the payment.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is placed.

Our checkout process is fully set up for global sales with the exception of a few countries. VAT and shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout.

In which currency can I pay?

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Yes, you can cancel or modify your order except for ASIC miners. Due to price fluctuations we do not accept returns for these products.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order is shipped.

Can I pay later or in installments?

We only process an order after payment has been fully completed and received. However, we offer providers like Klarna and iDeal in 3 which allow you to pay in installments or later. We receive a payment guarantee and you can enjoy paying in installments.

Can my order be canceled by Ultrabit?

Yes, that is possible but we try to avoid it. However, we are compelled to do so when hardware prices fluctuate significantly at certain times. If we cancel an order you will be notified within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not receive a notification within 24 hours your order has been accepted and will be processed.

Shipping and delivery
What are the shipping costs?

We ship worldwide. Below is an overview of our shipping costs including VAT:

Netherlands and Belgium:

  • Free shipping on orders over €99
  • €7.99 for orders under €99

Rest of Europe:

  • Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on your delivery address during the checkout process

Worldwide:

  • Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on your delivery address during the checkout process

Mining Pods (shipped by pallet):

  • The Netherlands: €70
  • Belgium, Germany and Greece: €99
  • To other countries in Europe: €199
How long does it take for my order to be delivered?

The estimated delivery time is stated on each product page (Just below the 'add to cart' button) so you know when to expect your products. If your order has products with different delivery times we will divide the shipment into parts to make sure each product arrives as scheduled.

All products except for ASICMINERBOX pods are shipped via parcel post with a tracking number which you will receive by email. The pods are shipped on pallets and delivered by a carrier equipped with a tail lift for unloading the pallet.

We package your order with the utmost care to ensure it arrives safely and undamaged.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer international shipping to most countries with the exception of a few where delivery is currently unavailable. If you have any questions about availability in your country, please feel free to contact us for more information

Can I have my order delivered later?

Yes, you can. During the checkout process, you can specify your preferred delivery date in the "comments" field. If you have already placed an order and would like to request a later delivery, please contact us to arrange the change.

Warranty and returns
What is the warranty period on your products?

We offer a two-year full product warranty on all purchases, except for ASIC Miners.

At Ultrabit, you are assured of a secure purchasing process. You receive a standard two-year full product warranty on all purchases, with the exception of ASIC Miners. This means you can always contact us if there is an issue with your purchase within this period. For valid warranty claims, the costs for repair or replacement will be fully covered for up to two years from the date of purchase.

Warranty Periods:

  • General products: 2 years warranty, except for ASIC Miners.
  • Bitcoin mining hardware: 1 year warranty (365 days).
  • Altcoin mining hardware: 6 months warranty (180 days). (Altcoins are cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.)
  • Used mining hardware: 30 days warranty.

What should I do if my product is defective upon arrival?

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please refer to our Shipping and Returns page for instructions. There you'll find all the information you need to request a return and resolve the issue.

Can I return a product?

Yes, you can return a product within 14 calendar days of delivery, except for ASIC Miners. The items must be in 'as new' condition, with the original packaging, and should not have been used or installed.

ASIC Miners are excluded from the right of withdrawal due to price fluctuations that may occur within the withdrawal period. For more information, please refer to Article 10 of our Terms and Conditions.

How can I return my order?

How can I exchange my order?

To exchange your order, create a return and select the option for store credit instead of a refund. With this store credit you can purchase the desired item.

Please note that ASIC Miners cannot be exchanged once the order has been placed.
